I had to put down my best friend in 2015. Then end of summer 2017 we were given a gift from God...a 2 yr old abandoned dog, same breed and all. She IS my best friend.. her devotion, her love, her actions and personality is everything of my lost pup. Her and I bonded instantly, it was like the story talked about, one look in the eyes, and our hearts were once again forever locked!Great story, couldn't have been better if it had to be, it had me crying, smiling and grateful for Heavens mercy and miracles!
Oh, I hope our dogs have connected souls! It would give me great comfort to know when my dog passes, he'll return to me in another soul to love and care for me all over again. This story was quick, touching and so relatable as a dog lover.
Made me cry. I took in a rescue dog, but after a couple of weeks I realized that he was too much. So I was going to take him back, but I couldn't. I knew he would be sitting in his kennel wondering when "Mom" was going to come and get him, or "what did I do that was wrong" just like Cujo. After reading this book, I came to terms with him and we have worked on his behavior. HE is the dog I want to watch my house, watch my 2 little dogs. He's a big lovey, funny, a great dog!!
If you have always thought that your beloved dogs crossed the rainbow bridgeand are looking down from above, this is the book for you. It's a fast readand there will be tears in your eyes when you finish.
I love the story. I always believed that dogs meet in heaven and that your family that is already there take care of them. If that is true I feel sorry for my family, we have buried 15 dogs and they were all 15 aand 16 yrs. old,and we loved them so much that when they left us I grieved for a long time,then the kids would bring another one because they were traveling for their job, so we would take it over. T he funny thing was when they came to visit,the dogs would hide, we loved them all.Now we have my daughter's dog and she does the same thing, hides when her mom comes to see us.Her dad calls her to come out and go home, She runs in the bathroom and closes the door. too cute. Gotta love them.We sure do and this story ment something to me. Like our Shilee sent Sammy to come and watch over us, But she is 15 already, still has a strong bark so she is doing her job. all dog lovers have to read this. Jen

This was a great story about a dog who was loved and the family who loved him enough to carry on that love to another dog in need of that love! Would recommend to all animal rescuers and animal lovers alike.
I loved this book, we rescued animals for the last 40 yrs. and it is so true when one leaves it is as if they send the right one to you from their meadow across the Rainbow Bridge. I have absolutely felt that some of our most beloved pets, have never gone far from us when they crossed over, and this book will make you believe, too. the book was too short! I wanted to keep reading. I read it in one short sitting. if you have ever rescued or loved a pet, you will like this book.
